21 Ways to Reignite Creativity

This artist guide is a collection of practical, honest ways to navigate the ebb and flow of creativity. Rooted in my own studio practice, it offers gentle prompts, exercises, and reflections designed to help you reconnect with your work when inspiration feels distant. Rather than focusing on finished outcomes, it encourages play, curiosity, and a more compassionate approach to the creative process — a reminder that even in quieter seasons, something meaningful is always unfolding.

  1. Hi Nicola, I discovered your work on Pinterest and am inspired by your portfolio. This guide is great, I especially love the suggestions that help incorporate more play to lessen the pressure. I’m self taught so the generosity of artists such as yourself who share their advice has helped make my creative journey less lonely and more enjoyable! Thank you!

    • Nicky,
I’m so pleased you found it useful. I think we all go through rough patches but sometimes when it’s a longer dip it can really knock your confidence. I’m grateful to artists that have helped me so wanted to share some of my insights in the hope that it helps others.
      Regards, Nic
