Back to beach huts and boats. There is something so charming and oldie worldie about beach huts that drew me back to these as a subject matter. In this painting a paddle boat makes an appearance, it wasn’t an intentional addition, but with the window in my studio opened wide I think the chatter of children in the bay enjoying a paddle boat lesson must have sneaked into my subconscious.
