Description
One of two paintings, these works started out as very loose sketches captured in my sketch book as I sat on the rocks looking out over Browns Bay. I wanted to map out the different shapes emerging in the water as it pooled amongst the rocks at low tide. As the water pulls back from the shoreline you start to notice the lines, curves, colours and textures of the rocks that are usually submerged. The colours change and the smooth surface displays the natural erosion of the sea
Mixed media acrylic on paper, including collage which gives the surface of the image an uneven texture.
