“Art is never finished, only abandoned.”

― Leonardo da Vinci

The theme of my work centres on the North East coastline and most of my collections are inspired by what surrounds me – long sandy beaches, an ever changing sea and the monumental rocks that separate land from water.
I use layers to represent the layers of time, the textures and colours are constantly evolving and changing as the light alters through the day and the weather conditions change throughout the year. I hope to show the vastness of the landscape, the raging power of the sea, and the seemingly solidness of the land whilst demonstrating how the water can erode that solid mass.
