My Neighbourhood

I read a blog post a couple of years ago about a woman who created illustrated maps and scribbled a prompt in one of my sketchbooks to remind me to give this a go. The sketchbook must have been packed up sometime in the summer last year so only just came across the reminder this week but I thought what the hell, it may be a very childish type thing to do but given we’ve only just moved to a new area and I still at times have to use my sat navigation to find my way around seemed like the right time to give this a go.

The finished thing is very childlike but I loved creating it and found out names of streets, where the library is, etc. Definitely a good project for a rainy afternoon if you do have children!
