Print Making

I recently attended a taster session for print making. It was just a two hour session designed to give hands on experience of some of the basics.  I would thoroughly recommend it – what better way to spend a morning than playing around with ink.

We had the opportunity to create relief print using ink, drawing directly onto the back of a piece of paper and mark making with a range of implements – my attempts were pretty rubbish but it was good enough to get a sense of how the media could be used.

We also used a press and I had a bit more success in creating some abstract prints. The method is great for creating really rich blacks. As.a taster it was great and definitely something I’d try again.
