The second book on my plan to read was Dan Prices how to make a journal of your life. I picked it as it was recommended by Danny Gregory on a YouTube video (link) and I’d love his book everyday matters.
It’s quite a small book but he’s managed to pack a lot into the 116 pages. Unlike other books on sketching this is much more text heavy with small images to bring the copy to life.
What I liked…
- his quirky line drawings, he has a very distinctive style, very detailed and covers widely different subjects.
- His philosophy of making our lives a work of art – slowing down, spending time in the moment by capturing experiences on paper.
That said this isnt really a book I’d recommend. It’s probably just a personal thing but not for me.
