Another competition that I keep telling myself I should look at entering but confidence (and if I’m honest ability) fail me miserably.
Started in 1996 the National Open Art (NOA) is one of the UK’s top art competitions open to amateur and professional artists alike. They generally get around 4,000 entries per year so it’s a hotly contested one but if you’re a budding artist definitely worth a look – http://www.nationalopenart.org/mission-statement.php
Its £20 to enter unless you’re under 24 years when you get reduced rate. They accept a range of different media from drawings, paintings and digital art and the deadline for entry is 7th July.
And they also have a special category for children
If like me you’re not up for entering this year but want to keep it on your radar for future years you can sign up for their newsletters – http://www.nationalopenart.org/ebulletin.php
