The Handmade Fair

I had today booked as holiday so thought I’d pop over to Ragley Hall, Warwickshire to check out The Handmade Fair.  If anyone is thinking of going I’d suggest giving it a miss.

Whilst a beautiful setting the fair area was too small and consisted primarily of various food stalls.  They have one marquee with craft stalls which are great but too much squished in, along with lots of people means its difficult to get a good look around and I’d imagine there will be more attend over the weekend.

All of the workshops were fully booked which is a shame as some looked interesting and there seemed to be a really good range of crafts on offer.

Overall the event was poor compared with Art in Action (later in the year in Oxfordshire) or even the craft exhibitions at the NEC but maybe it will improve over the next few years.
